The Department of Health and Human Services Poverty Guidelines are used to determine eligibility for Head Start programs. If you are currently pregnant or have children from birth to age 5, check the requirements below to see if your family is eligible.
Head Start serves children ages 0-5. Prenatal services are also provided.
Head Start serves families with household incomes at or below the federal poverty line.
Beneficiaries of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families or Social Security Income are eligible.
If your family is experiencing homelessness or providing foster care, then your child is eligible to enroll.
